Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have been diagnosed as having PCOD. So there are
hormonal alterations. Normal ovulation is not happening that is why you are not getting periods.
Unless there is some endometrial proliferation with
estrogen you taking meprate will not cause withdrawal bleeding. In normal cycles these 2 hormones handle everything.
So, I suggest you to get an
ultrasound scan along with hormones like FSH, LH, E2, FREE T3, FREE T4, TSH,
prolactin and
testosterone, and AMH which will help us to predict the functions of ovary and initiate if treatment required.
Once treatment is started periods might resume which again depends on the report.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan. Nair
