I am your physician and I understand your concerns regarding your health. lamictal (Lamotrigine) is used to treat mood swings in bipolar disorder and also as an anticonvulsant. U were taking the medicine and it was supposed to be carried on. unfortunately u stopped it all of a sudden. This was not the right way to go with this medicine as its dose need to be tapered off gradually before stopping taking it. And a psychiatrist can do that. But u stopped and feeling side effects now. U have not told how many days elapsed you stopped it. In my expert opinion if a patient comes with withdrawal symptoms I will suggest him not to start the same medicine at once and without my prior prescription. And unfortunately u cant find this medicine OTC. My sincere advice to u is, please contact a physician as soon as possible and act accordingly.
