What Causes Movable Lump On Head Of A Baby?

My baby is 6 and a half months old and has a pea size bump on her right side of the head and it is worrying me so much. It is not very hard, but moves a bit. She had cradle cap a while ago but it has cleared and recently when I was checking her head to see if there is still traces of it, I noticed the bump. She has generally been okay and only got her Flu and Hepatitis jab about two weeks ago when I took her for her normal clinic visits. Could there be any underlying cause because it is making me restless. Please advise.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Most likely it is a lymph node. If it's not causing pain or discomfort it can be left alone. Lymph nodes are part of the immune system and help to prevent infections spreading. If painful, antibiotics will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Cajetan, Pediatrician
