What Causes Mucous And Blood Discharge With Bowel Movement?
Hi i have been noticing mucas and streaks of blood in my stools for a few weeks now. We travelled to Egypt at Christmas and since then i have had griping pains in my tummy for the first few hours of the morning and when i pass stools, i tend to pass a clump of mucus first. This morning when passing a stool i had a lot of mucas again with a lot of fresh red blood with some clots in it. I have lower abdmonnial pains like period pains. Should i be worried?
Possible causes are bacillary or amoebic dysentery or inflammatory bowel problems or irritable bowel syndrome with hemorrhoids. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use a tablet Oflox and ornidazole twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your physician he will investigate and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
