What Causes Mucus In The Stool Of An Infant Apart From Cough, Yellow Phlegm And Puffy Eyes?

My 4 week old son was brought to dr due to abnormal behaior,what i thought to be worms in poop which was mucus.only to be told notbing is wrong and hes fine which i argued he wasnt.Well now he has a cough,yellow snot,puffy eyes and seems to be in so much pain and plain old uncomfortable.what could be the cause?common virua and just keep hydrated with steam and cool mist?
