I am having burning sensations with bladder. I have started antibiotics. Urine specimen did not show UTI. I have an upcoming appointment to see Urologist. Not sure if I should have made appointment for kidney specialist. I have multiple cysts on left kidney and some on right kidney.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the kidney cysts are usually asymptomatic in many cases. It is the advanced cases of large cysts or associated with an infection which represents the symptoms. I would recommend to consume plenty of liquids, continue current antibiotic and have patience till you meet the urologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
