What Causes Muscles Spasms Around The Neck Long After Having A Surgery?

I have neck spasmens that go all the way around my neck in a circle. I previously had two neck surgeries about 20 years ago. I just had surgery on my back for a cyst in the thoracic part. I am 62 years ago, not in real go shape. The emergency doctor said I should be checked for Lyme disease but I don’t think I have that. What do you think?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan done to look for conditions like cervical spondylitis.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
