What Causes My Knee To Give Way?

My knee gives out on me at random times while I m walking. It s always my right knee, and it doesn t cause any pain. I have loose ligaments, and collapsed arches in my feet. (Diagnosed by Dr and Chiropractor) I wear shoes with good arch support and that helped with the general foot and knee pain from the collapsed arches. I do a LOT of walking with my job. I am a 16 year old female, 5 feet 8 inches tall and roughly 185 lbs if that helps any. What is causing this and what can I to stop it? Thanks!

There are several ligaments holding the knee joint together. There is likely a problem with one or more of these ligaments. I will advice you to see an Orthopedist. He will certainly do an MRI or atleast CT scan of the knee. Only then could one tell what the posible problem is. I will advice you for now to avoid prolong standing whenever possible.
