What Causes Nasal Bleeding?

Yesterday, I discovered that I was bleeding from a pour on my nostril. I have never experienced this before. I was sitting at my desk and felt something odd on my nose. I simply brushed it and found I was bleeding. I stopped it after several minutes with compression on the spot. Is this serious?

Hi,
There might be having two things,
1, might be having some soreness or congestion in nostril producing bleeding.
2, if there is no congestion or cold there might be having sudden rise in your blood pressure producing epitaxis.
Go for checking of blood pressure as soon as possible.
Meanwhile put otrivin nasal drops and ice application to stop bledding.
If BP is high then go for investigations and treatment.
Ok and take care.
