What Causes Nasal Irritation And Slightly Red Throat?
My husband has a light respiratory condition:no fever, nasal irritation and slightly red throat . We visited doctor today and he prescribed amoxicillin in the case ,if my husband condition will get worse. What exactly could happened with him for starting to take this medication. Thank you Alexandra

Looking at the symptoms,your husband is suffering from mild inflammation in the throat,which may get relieved by taking Analgesic with Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen.
If he suffers from High grade fever(more than 101 degree F),difficulty in swallowing due to severe throat pain,pus discharge in the throat,etc suggestive of bacterial infection,then he may need to start Oral Antibiotic like Amoxycillin as advised by your doctor.
