my husband age 73 has developed a sudden acute feeling of nausea and appears to have a low grade temperature. He has not vomited and feels extremely fatigued and doesn t want to move. no joint pain no other symptoms but he has had high blood pressure recently and is on bp medication. he hasn t taken any meds can t figure what is causing this and is no better and it s better nearly 2 hours. thank you
It's nothing but the viral fever which often presents with this type of symptoms. Take tablet paracetamol 8 hourly for 1 day. If fever again returns on next day then go for laboratory investigations like-
-Complete blood count (CBC) - Peripheral smear for malarial parasite - Urine routine and microscopic examination - Liver function test
If requires consult physician with above investigations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
