What Causes Nausea And Abdominal Pain In A 15-year-old?

My 15 year old daughter eats a very low carb, high protein, normal fiber diet and drinks mainly water with lemon. Over the past three days she has indulged in sweets and carbs because today is her birthday. What could this be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The abdominal pain your 15 year old daughter is having along with nausea are indicating possible ovulation issues. Get her checked by gynecologist, run abdominal ultrasound and stool analysis to determine the right diagnosis. For the moment, advise to take mephenamic acid and probiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
