What Causes Nausea And Head Throbbing At Night That Subsides After A Burp?
Hi, I m an 18 year old female that experiences nausea in the middle of the night? I wake up in the middle of the night feeling nauseous and my head is throbbing. Burping or relieving gas, makes me feel better. I do not excerise, I stay up late. And my diet is so-so. Help?
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Possible GERD or hiatal hernia: You have symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disorder which can be caused by inappropriate diet but also by hiatal hernia. YOu should avoid eating prior to sleep, try to lay with elevated upper body, eat more often but smaller meals. Also, if this persists, you should do gastroscopy and start with antiacid medications.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
