What Causes Nausea , Indigestion And Abdominal Cramps After Medical Abortion?
Hi, I recently had a medical abortion on May 2nd. I have continued bleeding until today May 20th. The past week my uterus has been cramping a lot and I have had nausea indigestion, and migraines. I have also been experiencing lightheadedness and cold sweats. I have taken doxycycline for 1 week twice a day after my abortion. Is this normal? How can I help treat these symptoms?
Hello dear Understand your concern Generally all the side effects and bleeding of abortion will stop after 7 days of using pills. Nausea , indigestion and abdominal cramp due to following reasons: vaginal/pelvic infections, incomplete abortion/retain product of conception and side effects of abortion pill. Incomplete abortion diagnosed by USG scan and treated by D & C. Infection diagnosed by speculum examination, swab test and treated by antibiotics. Take small frequent meal rather tha large meal, avoid fatty and spicy food, brisk walking after food, tablet rantac and meftla spas. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagra
