Hi - who am I talking with? Here is my situation: I live in Southern California, we have a lot of West Nile Virus cases reported - Orange County, CA, in fact my husband has been tested positive for it. I have the exact same symptoms and my tests have come back negative. Now I have to search as to what I may have that is causing the same thing. My symptoms are: nausea (comes on anytime day or night), lower abdomen cramps (no menstrual cycles) at any time, headaches-come on at anytime, fatigue, sweating-both just come on like gang busters. my email is: YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

First of all, the West Nile virus can transmit between people through mosquitoes bites and dealing with infected animals.

So, you should go to the hospital for complete investigations and taking the treatment. Second, you should avoid dealing with animals and getting ride of mosquitoes.

The virus does not transmit from one person to another.I hope I answer all your questions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dr/Mustafa, Neurologist
