What Causes Nausea, Spotting And Bloating After Intercourse?

In the beginning month of Jan 1st I had my period. Although I did have spotting before it started it but ended on time. Jan 30th I noticed I was spotting again and my period came back on and lasted 5 days. Well I had intercourse with my bf the day afterwards. Now since Sunday Feb 7th I was nauseated and started spotting. It's been a week and I suffered from slight cramps, bloating, and still spotting. Should I get a hpt or wait until my gyn appt?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Yes, you can have a home pregnancy test done with early morning urine but as per your symptoms only spotting doesnt indicate anything and hence you need the test. I dont think you had intercourse in fertile period in which ovulation happens so chances of pregnancy are not there. You need to rule out the cause for continuous bleeding first.

Hope this ansers your query.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
