What Causes Nausea,fatigue,constipation And Pain In Shoulder Blades?
My mother in law had a bile duct stent put in about 8 months ago. This morning she woke up with nausea, fatigue, constipation, pain between her shoulder blades and stomach. At first her blood pressure was a little high, and her temperature was 101.7. She went back to bed and slept for about an hour. Her blood pressure and temperature resumed to normal. She went to the bathroom and had a little light colored diarrhea. Do you think this can be something she ate or could this be a bile duct problem? Should we take her to the hospital?

Noted your history about your Mother-in-law having bile duct stent 8 months back; she woke up with nausea, pain between shoulder blades, fever, high BP initially, light colored diarrhea.
This looks to be due to gastroenteritis.
If the bile duct is blocked, the stools are white/clay colored.
I would advise her the following:
Send the stool sample for tests along with routine blood tests including liver functions.
If there is an infection, a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole along with activated charcoal should help her.
Also go for ultrasonography of the whole abdomen.
Get started with appropriate medications as per the clinical evaluation and lab reports.
