Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern for dark stains on neck, chest and back spots with weight gain.

After analyzing your query I can make out that you have the condition called as Pseudo- Aanthosis nigricans. This Pseudo- Aanthosis nigricans is a condition which occurs basically in obese and over weight persons and the skin changes are expressed basically over folds of skin as in your case dark stains on the neck, armpits, chest and back.

I suggest you to reduce the weight which is the most important factor in getting better.

In your kind of cases I generally prescribe skin lightening agents such as kojic acid or arbutin to be applied at night time. You can meet a dermatologist to get further guidance regarding the treatment for dark skin color.

All the best.
