What Causes Neck Pain Along With Swelling On Neck Area?

I have a very painful nevk on my left side and now notice some swelling on my neck but Aldi into the clavicle area. I have had a lamenectomy on my neck and a recent MRI showed problems again in my neck which will resurrect another surgery in the future however I m on vacation right now and just want to know if I should be concerned about the swelling YYYY@YYYY
