What Causes Neck Pain ?

How are you Doc..i am 44yrs old and around 0930 this morning I had experienced an on and off pain on my left sideneck and the pain had stayed until 1915 tonight after I took my shower. Am I having a mild stroke? Sometime in June also, I got a two days consecutive pain (its feels like theres a laceration at the center of my chest) though the pain just last for a 5-7seconds...do you think I m experiencing a mild stroke...many thanks Doc...
