What Causes Neck Swelling After An Accident?

I was recently involved in a car accident and noticed over time on the left side of my neck began to swell supraclavicular muscle is what I was told. Could this have been caused from the accident or was it something that was already occuring in my body beforehand?

Hi,

It could be a a hematoma or a contusion. Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan. As of now you can apply ice packs for faster recovery.
