What Causes Neck Tightness And Weakness With Nasal Odor?

Hi Dr. Grief everytime I walk into a back room my neck gets tight and I become weak, I don t know if there s mold in this room. I ve looked for it and have not been able to find any signs. I get a rotten smell as well in my nose. maybe sinus infection....

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Upper respiratory tract infections can lead to anosmia or parosmia which means absence or alteration of smell sensation.
However, a search for mold or other agents should be made before believing that there is infection or any other disorder of the upper respiratory system.
Tightness and weakness of neck does not appear to be associated with nasal or sinus infection.
Tightness of neck is in fact associated with meningeal infection.
I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus treatment.
