What Causes Night Sweats After A Appendicitis?

After having appendicitis and having them removed successfully

I have been having really aggressive night sweats around my neck, chest and back of my head. Although I am 61 yrs old I am reasonably fit. I don't have a temperature through the day and my wound is healing without any infection. Is there any axplanation. Thank You, Gordon

Hi.
The night sweats after surgery for Apendicitis is suggestive of occult infection. You have to get the Blood tests and urine tests to see for the signs of infection like raised WBC and UTI.
Look for thrombophlebitis, Derep Vein Thrombosis in the calf muscles.
Ultrasonography to see if there is a collection in the abdomen as due to antibiotic coverage one may not get the true picture of the infection.
I would advise change of the antibiotic also.
