What Causes Nightmares While On Ambien?
My cousin is 77 and heavy drinker. He also takes ambien help him sleep. He stayed with us last night and yelled nonsensiqual words virtually all night long. This apparently is a long term problem, even with different sleep drugs. He also uses a CPAP some of the time.

Since this patient is on medication that works on the brain (central nervous system) and its neurotransmitters, side effects such as nightmares may occur. Kind Regards
