i am aged 36. my day 1 was 2nd nov 2011. i had 7 well developed follicles. i had my iui done on 17th eve and 18th morning. my husband s count was also good. my doc has started susten injection from 19th nov 2011 on alternate days. i am also taking susten 400 mg capsules twice everyday. my pregnency blood test (hcg) was scheduled for the 2nd of dec 2011. The result was negative. Now it is 38 days post mensuration, I have not got my periods. What could be the reason. Am I pregnant? pl advice.
Hi, I have gone through your question. Delayed periods in your case can be due to: 1. Pregnancy 2. Hormonal effect of Susten, which is a progesterone I would suggest you to repeat the urine pregnancy test one week after the last test you had. If the test is still negative, then you should consult your OBGYN specialist and stop the progesterone injection and tablets. You will have spontaneous periods within 7-10 days of stopping the drug.
