What Causes Noise In Heel While Walking On A Hard Surface?

My daughter has just showed me that when she walks across a hard floor her left heel makes a very strange noise as she rolls her weight across it...not the joints cracking...whatever it is is coming from the flesh under her heel. I can feel seomthing move about under the skin of her heel when I run my fingers over it....she says it does not particularly hurt. She is 8, fit and healthy otherwise.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is important consulting with an orthopedist for a physical exam and performing an X-ray study of the left foot. Other tests to consider would be (complete blood count, ESR, vitamin D and calcium plasma levels for possible deficiency).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
