for the past 5 months my left ear has been twitching non-stop. it pulls itself backwards against my head, movies up and down and also twitches on the inside as well. the twitching worsens when the crackling/popping noise in my ear starts again. i know this is going to sound strange, but i can also feel the subtle popping/crackling. one more thing, i m also getting a strange twitch on my head above my left ear that also coincides with the ear twitch. what could be causing all this?
Your symptoms could be related to an irritation of a nerve. For this reason, I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam. Performing a brain MRI may be needed.
