hi, I have been experiencing a nose bleed everyday for the past 4 days and also blood in my stools. I am 29, 59 kilos and 165cms tall. I exercise regularly but recently been quite stressed at work and have not been eating as well as I should. Is this cause for concern?
Hello, In cases of nose bleed first rule out local causes in nose like frequent finger picking, bleeding polypus of nasal septum,a sharp spur touching the lateral wall of nose, too much cold/hot climates, tumors. All this causes can be ruled out by proper consultation with ent specialist. The systemic causes include bleeding disorders.liver disorders(alcoholism),hereditary heaemorrahagic telengiectasia, hypertension(controversial),drugs(nsaids, cocaine inhalation, antiplatelets) etc.As you have blood in stools also i recommend you to have early consultation with your doctor to rule out a likely systemic cause Thank you.
