What Causes Nose Bleeding Into The Back Of The Throat?

My daughter is 15 and has nose bleeding into back of her throat. She has been spitting out blood for almost an hour. For the last 15 minutes she has been bent forward pinching her nose but it has not helped. Should she continue this, or do I need to take her to the emergency room?

hello, thanks for your query, anterior bleeds comes through nostrils ,stops by pinching, posterior bleeds will bleed back into throat, it will take time to stop. if it's more than 15 mts, plz take her to er for evaluation and packing of nose. hope I have answered ur query. all d best. take care.
