What Causes Nose Bleeding?

i dont know wo or where to go for this. my family is very stubborn and will not get checked up nor take any professional help. I know something is wrong but dont know what or how severe... my brother bleeds from his nose very often... and usually comes out when triggered it seems like by stress or even emotional stress... but Im also wondering if its something in his body attacking him also.. please help for i do not know where else to turn. my brother is 6ft and 2 inches.. he weighs....well hes overweight.. i think like 300 pounds or more... but he is tall so it doesnt show as much... im wondering if its his weight thats causing the problem? or if its more into it then that.. i love my brother and i dont want to lose him. please help.

Dear, nose bleeds have various reasons. The capillaries supplying nasal cavity are very fine and sensitive to minute pressure and temperature changes. Is your brother residing in a country of high temperature or plays/work/stays under sun for too long? If yes, then epistaxis is common. It is also observed in patients with cold and cough. He needs to get examined by ENT to know the site of bleeding like anterior nasal wall or posterior.
Last but not least, hope he doesn't have any adverse habits.
