What Causes Nosebleed?

I have been having nose bleeds since i was ten.Since then the frequency of my nose bleeds has increased dramatically. Recently doctor told me its psychosomatic disorder. Usually caused by distress. But what about when i was ten? I mean i didn t use to have any stress at the age of ten. A little more insight to this nose bleeding would be thoroughly appreciated! Could it be cancer or a tumour?

Hello,

In fact, nosebleed is associated with local organic problems of the nose, systemic problems like high blood pressure; lack of vitamins especially of vitamin c, and anemia.

If none of these diagnosis was made, and psychosomatic disorder was determined, it means there is no organic issue. Just, because of you being too emotional, the blood vessels of the nose might become more fragile and prone to bleeding.

I do not think it is any cancer or tumor as long as the tests you have done so far did not notice anything.

So, try to put yourself at peace, keep good nasal hygiene, and avoid pulling the hard crusts inside your nose out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
