What Causes Nosebleeds During Von Willebrnads Disease?
my 9 yr old son has von willebrands disease and he has frequent and heavy nosebleeds he is due to go into childrens hospital to have his nose cauterised i am worried that even though he has this operation done will he still have the nosebleeds because this is 1 of the main symptoms of von wille brands

Yes , you are true , nose bleeding is common in von willibrands disorder and you r son may need to get his blood checked and a transfusion of blood products to reduce stop the bleeding. Please remember that only cauterization will not help , unless his blood parameters are stabalised.
