What Causes Numbeness In Finger After Muscle Surgery?

I have an operation for muscle wasting between my thumb and first finger in August this year. The pain in my hand is very bad especially in the mornings. My Little finger is very numb. Will I ever get back some strength in the hand....................I have quite a scar on the inside of my elbow where the nerve was moved. Ann

you seem to have undergone ulnar nerve decompression, some damage to the nerve seems to have happened and has caused you numbness, need to keep your fingers crossed, we call it neurapraxia, try taking a tapering course of steroids under medical supervision. still the end results are not guaranteed. that is why I said keep your fingers crossed, any improvement should happen in maximum 6 months. what ever you achieve in 6 months will be final.
