What Causes Numbness At The Tip Of The Tongue And Lower Lip?
I am 73 yrs old and have always been in excellent health. Years ago I was a dental hygienist, therefore excellent oral hygiene. My problem: the last few days the tip of my tongue and my lower lip have had short term episodes of numbness. What could be the cause?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Possible vitamin deficiency. 2. Peripheral neuropathy from Deficiency of vit B12 and also possible thiamine deficiency. 3. Take B-complex supplements along with diet rich in green leafy vegetables. If you have diabetes mellitus, control within normal range is necessary. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
