What Causes Numbness In Arm And One Side Of Face?

my son just awoke from a nap and his arm had gone to sleep. He jumped up and looked at me and tried to talk and the right side of his face and tongue had gone to sleep also. He could not talk plainly, but within 50 seconds to a minute he was back to normal. What do you think causes this.

It can be due to just pressure over some nerve route while asleep ..but we have to rule out transient ishemic attack so better to have neurologist opinion once...
