What Causes Numbness In Arms And Legs?

My son, 46 years old, is having random numbness in both arms and legs at different times. He told me he was on the phone recently and it fell right out of his hand. Of course I didn t express any opinion, he will see a neurologist Tuesday, but I am very concerned.
