What Causes Numbness In Face And Shin And Sharp Pain In Chest?
I m currently experiencing some physical discomforts. My left hand and arm keep feeling like they re going numb from lack of circulation; the lower left side of my face keeps going numb; my left shin keeps feeling like it s going numb from lack of circulation; and there s a gradual, sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It gets especially bad at night and I can t go to sleep because every time I lay down, my left side starts feeling like it s going numb from lack of circulation. I think it s an anxiety attack, but am I wrong?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you should first rule out cardiac cause for your symptoms. As left sided sharp chest pain with numbness is seen commonly in heart disease. So we need to rule out this first. Get done ECG and 2d echo to rule out cardiac cause. If both are normal than no need to worry much for cardiac cause. Vitamin B 12 deficiency can also cause numbness in the body. So get done Serum B 12 level and if deficient start supplement. Anxiety can also cause similar symptoms. So avoid stress and tension,be relax and calm. Consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions. Try to identify stressors in your life and start working on their solution. Don't worry, you will be alright.
