What Causes Numbness In Fingers And Heart Palpitations During Pregnancy?
I am just over 6 weeks pregnant and I noticed my heart palpitating from my chest to my throat. It seems to come and go through out the day even when I am resting. I had brown discharge just 2 days ago And today my right thumb is twitching non stop and is beginning to feel a little numb.
we are not completely sure why it is common to have numbness and tingling of the fingertips during pregnancy. some doctors believe that it is due to swelling and edema around the nerves that innervate the hands and fingers. however we so know that it is very common and typically resolves after the pregnancy. the discharge is nothing to worry about as long as it is not persistent and you are not bleeding. heart palpitations are common as well, usually related to dehydration but if if doesn't go away after drinking a lot of fluid and resting yoh should see your doctor to make sure it isn't something more serious. heart disease in pregnancy is extremely rare, so I wouldn't worry too much unless it persists and doesn't stop with rest and fluid. I hope this was helpful, please let me know if you have any more questions.
