A couple of weeks ago my lower lip and chin went numb. I went to see my dentist and he sent me to a specialist. The specialist examined me and came to the conclusion that my nerves were okay, and he had no answer as to why I was numb. Please help!! Thank you. Karen
Hi karen The numbness on your lower lip and chin gives a direct suspicion on nerve damage . since you have'nt mentioned if you underwent any dental procedure , i cannot come up to a direct conclusion of what might have caused it . Also i suggest you to take a second opinion regarding nerve evaluation which will co-incide with other findings illustrating the particular nerve damage. take care
