A few months ago i suffered from a throat infection but it was moslty on the left side that hurt the most and so i went to the doctor and they gave me some medicine to cure the infeccion and it worked but a couple of weeks later the left side of my neck started to feel very numb and tight now i see that some of the veins in my neck wont show like in the right side when i do some exercises and it feels even more tight, also my left ear pops a lot and its been like that for more than two months which is very annoying. is there any idea of whats happening?
Hi, any unilateral focus of infection in the oral cavity, sinuses and in head and neck region can lead to such symptoms. The problem can be a bad tooth, a bad sinus, an infected tonsil or a turbinate hypertrophy. This can lead to a persisting infection or a persisting post nasal drip which can be unilateral and lead to such symptoms. Please see an ENT and get an examination done. Otherwise use of antiseptic gargles and keeping good oro dental hygiene should improve things a bit. Regards
