What Causes Numbness In The Arm After Receiving A Tetanus Shot?

Hi, I had a tetanus shot a week ago. The pain from the shot is gone but I have had strange symptoms since having the shot. I initially got very disoriented after getting the shot, the told me I was afraid of needles....I m not, never have been. I started getting numbness in my arm and pain in my shoulder blade/arm pit. I began getting so disoriented I went to another hospital they gave me a CT scan and told me to go home it was normal. Today i had a sharp pain in my clavicle/neck. I ve not had any blood work done should I be concerned? My brain has been foggy and I just don t feel normal I have had nausea and did go to a chiropractor just in case it was a physical issue, it wasn t.

Hi,

The numbness in the arm may be due to nerve injury or due to allergic reaction. It is very rare but manageable. You may use steroids or local cold and warm compression. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
