Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an endoscopy on Friday and I still have numbness in my lower lip. I called the office and they told me to go to the Er and have a face xray. I don t believe you can see nerves on an X-ray. It appears that I also have a traumatic ulcer on my lower lip. How long should the numbness and ulcer last.?What would you recommend?
hi..it might be due to the local anesthesia during the endoscopy.but if its long it should have resolved.ulcer may remain long if its not treated.on treating if not subsides better to take punch biopsy.if still have numbness..need to test for facial nerve test...
