What Causes Numbness On Face After Massaging?

Hello, A friend gave me a facial massage and applied a lot of pressure while doing it, since then I am experiencing numbness but not total on the left side of my face , specifically along the jaw line near the mouth, in an area bout the size of a quarter.

Hi..

Well if the massage is done with excessive pressure and for a considerable long duration then it can put pressure to terminal nerve endings leading to temporary numbing of the skin..

However it is not seen to cause any long term damage or problems..

So for now wait and watch but in case if the numbness spreads or becomes more severe then immediately consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..

For now you need not to worry, just keep a watch..

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
