What Causes Obstruction In The Throat While On Treatment For Pharyngitis?

I m being treated for pharyngitis the last few days. Feels like something is caught in the back of my throat... I can t breath In threw my nose one bit.... Well this evening I went to try to clear my nose by breathing in and a thick tissue substance flew out threw my mouth!!! What could this be, should I be worried?

hi,
your throat irritation is due to pharyngitis itself, most of the time anti histaminics and decongestants will be given along with other medications to treat pharyngitis, this causes drying up of secretions, so don't worry, mostly what you have seen is dried up nasal secretion, take care
