What Causes Occasional Adrenaline Rush Leaving Me Weak Afterwards?

I'm a 19 year old female, average weight about 5'4. I have a history of drug abuse but that was in 2005 and I quit in 2006, and it was a cocaine addiction. I've been clean since then, but for about a year, I'll get the feeling of an adrenaline rush out of nowhere, while i'm driving or just sitting somewhere, and it makes me really irritated and agitated and i'll start getting jittery and that lasts about 30 minutes to an hour and then after the feeling surpasses, I get extremely weak and tired and can't eat. It usually happens about once every couple months or so and is irregular, it doesn't happen the same time every couple months. Lately it happend twice within a couple weeks. I thought it might be anxiety attacks, but i don't have none of the other symptoms. Can you help??

Hello
Two possibilities here--
A supraventricular tachycardia like atrial flutter or atrial tachycardia, or
a rare adrenal tumor called a pheochromocytoma that releases adrenaline intermittently
I would give you a full cardiac workup, ct scan of the abdomen, and a urine test for metanephrines
I find this answer helpful
