Hi my mother in law has these small red sore looking areas on her legs about the size of a pencil eraser that come and go. Some appear to have white areas that go around the outside of the sore. She says they don t itch and they don t hurt. Any ideas?
As per your case history, the patient is suffering from Urticaria.
My treatment advice is: 1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are Oral steroid, and Hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
