Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My toe next to my big toe feels dead , not numb. It does not hurt - I can move it, but the joint seems to be different somehow since the toe has felt deat for the last few months. What is the problem? I am an active 69 year old woman - about 5 2 tall - about 170 lbs weight - no major illnesses or surgeries. Diagnoised with Meniere s Diesease recently.
Your symptoms could be suggestive of a pinched nerve. As long as there is no change in the color and it moves, it is not 'dead'. I recommend consulting with your physician for a physical exam and performing an X-ray study of the foot.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
