What Causes One Positive And One Negative Pregnancy Test Result?

Hi, I took 2 pregnancy tests, The first I took 6 days ago. It was positive with a very fant live. It was darker at the top half and faded out the bottom half. The second I took yesterday and it was a negative. What does this mean? Also I dont expect my period til sometime next week. Please help? I need to know.

I understand your query.
Pregnancy test can be false +ve -- in case the collected urine sample is polluted.Probably this was the case with your first test.
False -ve is not likely .. so that can be relied upon .. in case the test is performed after 8 days delay in period.
But your period is expected to come after a week. That means you have tested too early.. In case you want conformed result please wait for 8 days past your expected date of periods . collect urine in a boiled container..& perform the test as directed.
