What Causes PH Changes In The Vagina With Slight Urine Odor?

My ph in my vagina changes sometimes and I have a slight odor that smells like urine. I wear cotton underwear , no scented pad, no douch’s bc I’m very sensitive down there. I’ve also changed my diet to more plant based . Will this go away on its own? What do you recommend?

Hello,

First of all do not panic.

It's good to know about the healthy dietary changes that you have started. I will suggest you to observe proper vaginal hygiene. Keep private parts clean and dry. Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time is advisable.

Please opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Include more portions of fruits and vegetables and salads in daily diet. Avoid refined sugars and deep fried foods and bakery products. Start on Folic acid and vitamin B12 supplements regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
