What Causes Pain And Bleeding In Rectum During Bowels?
i'm 17. i've noticed over the past few months that when i go to the toilet, i get a pain in my bum whilst passing and when i wipe, there is one small amount of bright red blood which stops straight away. the bleeding has become more frequent over the past couple of weeks. what is this, or could be causing this to happen?

Your symptoms seem to be related to hemorrhoids.
Some advice that I can give to you is:
- Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone.
- Use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent.
- Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath. Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day.
